Mechanical Design Engineer required for a 12-month contract with a leading manufacturing company in Cheshire.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer for this business, you will be joining a small team focussed on designing and manufacturing specialist plastic protection products, specifically focussing on compression moulding.
You will be joining as the specialist Mechanical Design Engineer in this field and would be expected to be experienced enough to direct the team and the wider business in what to do. You should be confident to co-ordinate and manage the project, along with being able to make decisive autonomous decisions.
The project you will be co-ordinating and involved in, will be to produce a compression moulded product that can withstand pressure up to 140PSI.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer on this project, you will be involved in the end to end process of the product, from the analysis of the materials to use, the design of the casing, through to the compression moulding of the product itself.
To be suitable for this role you should;
– Possess a formal Engineering degree
– Have prior experience of working on compression modelling
– Have worked across the full project lifecycle of a product
On top of this, it would be a huge advantage if you have previous experience of working in the Oil & Gas industry, though this is by no means essential.
This role can interview next week (w/c 19/22/2018) and will be looking to start ASAP after this.
As mentioned, this contract will start on an initial 12-month basis and will be paid between £40/hr-£50/hr.
