Digital Platform Manager /Project Manager £45,000 – £55,000 London
JOB SUMMARY for Digital Platform Manager/ Project Manager :
Reporting to the Director of Digital & Content (C+D), the Digital Platform Manager (DPM) will lead the development of the platforms.
Working with the C+D Data and C+D Editorial team, the DPM will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining and future-proofing to increase data subscription revenue and build new products, as well as maintaining and improving the Drupal digital platform.
The DPM will have direct reports, as well as project managing a development agency in India.
He/She will also work closely with the Business Development Manager (Data) and Audience Development Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Digital Platform Manager / Project Manager:
- Immediate task is to ensure the C+D data platform is stable and reliable, understanding and meeting all customer and stakeholder requirements, reviewing all performance issues and roadmapping development priorities.
Work closely with Business Development Manager (Data) and Audience Development Manager to map future development work to maximise revenue and audience.
Manage the data development team, comprising an operations manager, data controller and project manager (who splits their time between C+D Data and the editorial website)
Manage our offshore development team, and make sure that project methodologies are used to deliver key projects on time and within budget
Write project briefs, both technical and non-technical, and sign-off technical architecture outlining project approach
Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the business to gather requirements for projects as per the digital strategy, and ensure that these are planned, designed and briefed in advance of time so ensure that no development hours are lost
Responsibility for final QA and sign-off for all deployments to UAT environments, and production sites
Implementation, management and reporting of analytics to aid evidence-based decision making across the portfolio
Maintain relationship with Head of Digital, within UBM’s Shared Services department
Ensure all development and design, in all parts of the business, is on-brand and consistent with the style guide
POSITION REQUIREMENTS for Digital Platform Manager / Project Manager:
- Must be a self-starter who can initiate, drive and execute projects, foster innovation, focus on delivery, collaborate with others and demonstrate high levels of commitment and integrity with a strong digital project management background.
At least 2 years’ experience of project management working with Scrum or Kanban methodologies
Strong technical knowledge; previous experience of Drupal preferred
Confident using JIRA and Confluence
Ability to effectively communicate technical information and updates to non-technical teams
Proven track record of working with external agencies (ideally offshore) with a cross functional team achieving results
Close working with the IT Infrastructure Dept
Previous experience as a line manager with at least one direct report
Ability to understand the end to end customer experience
Confident using Adobe Analytics
Data analysis and reporting analytical insight and web traffic stats
Ability to work on multiple projects
Excellent time keeping skills; able to meet deadlines
OTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES for Digital Platform Manager / Project Manager:
- Experience running databases would be a big plus
Intermediate – advanced MS Excel skills
Enjoy experimenting and trying out new technologies
Experience of working within the Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain
