Business Analyst –Agile/Software Development/Infrastructure required by a Global House-hold Company based in its prestigious Central Birmingham offices.  This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join a very successful Business Change team where you will be working on a wide variety of bleeding edge projects. This Leading Company has won multiple awards, including being within the top 5 in its field for its innovative approach to technology so you will be working amongst some of the most talented people in the industry.

As a Business Analyst you will understand business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stake-holders. Projects will include a mix of software development and infrastructure projects

Key responsibilities of the Business Analyst –Agile/Software Development/Infrastructure:

  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for continuous service improvement projects
  • Identify impacts to the business and strategies for dealing with these
  • Working closely with the IT team to deliver technical solutions
  • Providing business analysis throughout the whole life cycle – requirements gathering, requirements analysis, traceability matrix, development support and testing support and measuring business improvements
  • Documenting new or amended business processes and assisting through the implementation phase
  • Acting as liaison between the business and technical staff
  • Providing Project Management support where required
  • Managing small scale projects independently

Essential Skills of the Business Analyst –Agile/Software Development/Infrastructure:

  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions
  • Expert in eliciting requirements, workshop facilitation, validation and prioritisation of requirements
  • Experience of working with stakeholders
  • Experience of working on technical infrastructure projects
  • Excellent understanding of technology and its impact on the business
  • Understands the full project lifecycle, but has an expert awareness of specific deliverables which are the responsibility for the business analyst
  • Understanding of Agile/Business Transformation skills (Six Sigma, Lean processes)
  • Proficient with requirements capture and diagramming tools e.g. Visio
  • Understanding of how IT systems can be used to improve operational efficiency
  • Understanding of core legal systems (iMANAGE; Aderant PMS; Interaction CRM; BigHand DD; mobile technologies; etc) -desirable
  • Experience of legal business processes -desirable

 As a Business Analyst you will work on an initial 14 month fixed term contract and will receive a base salary of up to £45,000  plus bonus and benefits, including contributory pension (matched up to 5%), private medical, season ticket loan, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, discounted retail vouchers, minimum 25 days holiday with the option to buy or sell further, and more!
