Data Engineer - Azure / Data Factory / SQL

A Data Engineer is required to join a Utilities company on a permanent basis.
You'll be joining a small team of Developers and Engineers, helping design and implement data flows to connect multiple data sources and draw insights for business intelligence. You'll be helping the company increase overall efficiency, reduce waste, and improve the satisfaction of over 700,000 of their customers.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Surrey
3 days per week on-site

The Data Engineer role:
* Requirement gathering from key stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
* Converting business requirements into technical specifications
* Design and develop business intelligence and analytical solutions in PowerBI
* Provide PowerBI training for end users

Essential Data Engineer Skills and Experience:
* Ideally up to 5 years' experience on Azure Cloud Platform and Azure tech stack
* Strong SQL querying and T-SQL experience
* Demonstrable ETL experience, preferably creating pipelines in Azure Data Factory
* Demonstrable experience moving data between various source systems (API's)
* Proven data modelling experience
* Understanding of Data Visualisation tools such as PowerBI

Essential Data Engineer Tech Stack:
* Azure Cloud Platform
* Azure Data Factory & SSIS
* SQL Server Database
