Senior Backend Engineer (M/F/D) - TypeScript / NodeJS

Berlin - Hybrid Working

Salary- €75,000 - €90,000

We are working exclusively with an exciting scale-up based in Berlin. We are looking for 4 people either in a Backend or Full Stack capacity (TypeScript / NodeJS). The company is happy to have either English or German speakers too.

They are based in the centre of Berlin and are looking to scale up their development team with 4 new hires.

They are in the automotive industry offering leasing, rentals, and purchasing of vehicles. On top of this, they are linked with the major financial institutions on being able to compare pricing on leases, rentals, and purchases of cars from all the major car dealerships and brands, but also allowing the user to purchase the best financial deal for them, shortening the clearance time from 7 days to 24 hours.

The profile they are looking for is: -

  • Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Strong experience within the NodeJS ecosystem and using ExpressJS
  • Have knowledge of using React (not essential)
  • Has experience working with AWS building out microservices architecture and serverless functions
  • Familiar with databases such as MongoDB etc.
  • Have experience with automated testing platforms as well as experience with unit testing
  • Either strong English or German speaking skills

What you will be expected to be working on: -

  • Helping migrate from the old platform to a brand new platform
  • Adding new features and implementing them
  • Coming up with ideas for the platform and sharing them with the team
  • Working with Product Owners, Project Managers, and the wider team to ensure the platform is the best it can possibly be
  • Writing clean and reusable code and following best engineering practices
